new sig X5 all around

Nice looking piece, and no mall ninja rail either, may have to get an X5.

yup. i jumped on the traditional x5 when i saw the next generation. the new ones just a little too tactical superfly for me

Very straight forward, I used just a regular file, a Dremel would have taken seconds, it's just the lower lip that needs filing down since the grip is made for a regular p226, if you would like pictures let me know and I can take them off and take a picture of the inside.

ok. so bought a dremel and just finished the job tonight. the dremel was the easy part. the main spring and decocker were a little finicky. putting the grip on an off was a total pain. i had to (slightly) dremel part of the grip close to the decocker so the fit was more flush. i wish i tried it with the nicer, stock X5 decocker as i could not see a significant difference but i can't be bothered to take the grips off again and try. if i could figure out how to upload, i would post a pic.

The E2s are a little smaller than the Hogue G10s I had before but I didn't really have a problem with the G10s. the G10s feel more solid but I do like the one piece design of the E2s and they feel pretty good in the hand. I'll probably keep the E2s but looking forward to trying them at the range.
