I want to put new adjustable hi viz sights on my sr1911. the store that is going to be installing them told me to go on the website look to see what I want and he will order and install them. But my problem is they don't have anything listed for the sr1911. are any 1911 sights going to work, They have kimber, s@w and a few other companies listed. thanks for any advice.

They are "Novak" cut sights I believe. You'll need to find a sight set with these dimensions or your smith will have to cut your slide or the new sights.

I can confirm they are a Novak cut. Only other advice I'd offer if your gun is shooting properly right now is to measure your existing sights and make sure you get the right height.

Novak cut. Go to HiViz site and pick what you want and have the shop order them. If I recall right you call order direct and then have them installed or do it your self.

Thanks everyone, there was some marked Novak on the website I will look at those ones. My gun shoots low that's why I am putting adjustable sights on it.

If it shoots low, how low? Or what is the sight picture you are using?

Could be fixed by filing down your front sight a bit.

Are you certain you're not "pushing" the gun in anticipation of recoil? Have someone else who's accustomed to shooting 1911s in .45 (My SR1911 was spot on at 25 yards...slight drift to the left. {slight, like half a mm})

Anyhow, if those are the factory Novak sights from Ruger, its not the sights that cause a low POI. (sight picture misinterpretation, push?)

. I thought It was me for a few months, but I got some other people to shoot it and they agree. This target is me holding on the very top of it where the number 4 is at 25 feet ,What do you guys think.
This is another from yesterday with different ammo same hold

Yeah groups great, and the gun fires great never a malfunction. The gunsmith said they would bore sight it with the new sights, I guess that would eliminate the gun as the problem.

yup. Winchester white box doesn't group very well, federal champion is the best with American eagle very close. and blazer brass isn't to bad. I tried wolf reloads and they were about as good as Winchester white box, But a little hotter feeling.
