New sights on a Spartan and a bushing wrench

I have two questions.

1. I have an STI Spartan. I asked a few months ago for recomendations on changing the sights and a few people responded that the sights were good to go and try them out for a while.

I've done some shooting and I'm still not a big fan. I'd like to replace them with night sights or some sort. I find the front and rear sight also catch on my holster quite a bit and was thinking to get something with a lower profile or more streamlined.
Can anyone recomend a night set of sights for an STI Spartan? Preferably night sights like you'd find on a glock or something?

2. I think it's called a bushing wrench? It's used to turn the front of a 1911 so the barrel and stuff can come out so you can clean it... mine broke. The plastic on it seemed quite soft. Anyhow i was wondering if there was anywhere off hand i could pick another one or two up?

If possible I'd like to deal with Canadian companies, trying to get anything through the states now is a nightmare.

Thanks guys.

Get a hold of Sean at Freedom Ventures, link is up top, as far as the bushing wrench goes, if he doesn't have one, you can get a decent steel one from Brownells, with no hassle involved, it's just a tool and not regulated in any way.

Thanks!
Sean was kind enough to send me a whole new bushing wrench. In the long term I think I'll look for a metal one.

Does anyone else have an idea on sights?

Charles I like the pic. Made me start to think about different grips- I don't think a reflex sight would fit in my holser though lol.

Are compensators easy to install?

thats a fake compensator, and it's for sale, grips are also for sale :D
this pistol is basicly getting a new start, optics are leaving soon too

real compensators require threading of the barrel and cone type compensator require some work on the slide to be done

For sights, try asking Gunnar at Armco if Novak Competition sights would work in the dovetail - due to the almost Bomar cut on the slide, there'd be a gap under the sight but since the dovetail on the Novak is well forward, and the sight has a hook at the back, they might work. It might just be easier to have a new slide fitted with the sights you want installed, shouldn't be over the top expensive.
