Bought a brand new SKS around Christmas time and just shot it today. After the first 5 shots (with the bolt now held open) I see the gas piston that hammers the bolt back, is protruding over the breech from the part under the sight that holds it.
Turns out the spring is broken.
But to me, losing one coil isn't reason that the piston actually sticks in the tube. Rifle is a Russian 1950 production. Can I get a new spring somewhere?
