Hey, i received mine last week too.
Mine wasn't too bad at all, so i stripped it down, put all the metal parts into a tub and filled it with boiling water, left the parts for 15 mins, then transferred them into a bucket of warm soapy water rinsed and dried, I picked up some "Crud Buster 2" cleaning solvent from Bass Pro (any solvent will work) and just went over everything and wiped it dry.
Then I lightly oiled a few patches and went over all the metal parts lightly and dabbed dry with a towel anything that would be exposed (so i don't end up all greasy when i handle it) and any moving parts i applied slightly more oil when putting it all back together.
My stock was too big for my oven, and I didn't feel like using solvents on it, so I used a hair dryer, to my surprise it worked perfect! didn't take very long at all, maybe 20 minutes, hovered around a small area maybe 4-5 inches once it sweated out some oil i'd wipe and do it once more, and then feel it, if it feels normal then move on.
not sure how much info you needed but i read soooo much and it was a struggle to figure out which way to do it! so i adapted my own way and it worked perfect!
enjoy your new gun!
