I am looking into producing or bringing SKS and VZ 58 / CZ 858 stocks (WOOD STOCKS ONLY). I want to know what people have bought or made in the past ( pictures would be appreciated) I want to know who is my competition. Also I want to know what people want. Now westrifle is interested in your opinion and feedback
I would consider any other stocks for main brand non restricted rifles. (10/22, Remington or Mosseberg)

Regards

Al

VZ wood sets in good quality blond wood would be very nice. I can't understand why anyone would want to make a VZ 58 look like an AK 47.

I believe there is a member - 'vintorez' maybe? - on the ee, offering to make custom cz stocks in various ak model guises. You might have luck seeing what he does. Speaking for myself, I like to keep things almost original, except where I suffer handling problems.

I bought the ATI monte carlo stock for my SKS. A similarly styled stock in laminate would be excellent.

i like the "AK style" buttstock better than the original, i think that curve right ahead of the butt plate at the bottom is what bothers me, but that CZ furniture in the picture above is much nicer than the original.

for the SKS, the cheek rest on the monte carlo style stock is a big plus.

x3! but I'd prefer unfinished

Finished or unfinished I don't care, as long as the wood is exactly like that.

I know some people like to make their CZ's/ VZ rifles look like AK's but to me the VZ is a much better rifle, and it looks far more elegant with the original style wood.
