New SKS! With pics

don\t bother with the larger mag, faster to load with stripper clips and less bulky to carry around 200 rounds on your belt

Not in the U.S, he can buy a hundred round mags. You would have to reload 10 times with your stripper clips ( or 20 in Canada) before he would change his mag once...;)

I have a Tapco T6 stock for the SKS. Just waiting for the SKS.

pro2A, by looking at your SKS, that appears to be very good quality furniture on there. I would not bother with the Tapco, just letting people know of the option, and that it has the rail system for scoping.

We aren't all that far from Erie, PA, right across the water (north by boat), where ya from?

Ya it looks as if I am either the 1st or 2nd owner. It hardly looks used.

I'm glad to see that you are not stuck in anti-gun Philadelphia.:)

Philly tries to buck it's feet at state law all the time. Legally speaking none of their laws would apply if someone was prosecuted. It would get thrown out in court. PA has pretty good pre-emption law. Laws are uniform across the state from Hicktown to inner city Philly.

I hear you, but those anti-gun Mayors are still a major pain in the butt...

Luckily at least for now our state government is strongly pro-gun. Eddie doesn't have much power when it comes to shooting down pro-gun bills.

Nutter on the other hand... :runaway:

His anti-gun DA even said she wouldn't prosecute anyone under these new "laws" because they are against state law. It would open Philly up to some massive lawsuits. I for one have open carried in Philly with a "restricted mag"... no one saw me, but I go by state law. State law says I can have more then 10 round mags, well by golly I'll carry anywhere I choose with 10+ rounds :)

Edit: Sorry buddy, by the looks of it, it will not accept AK magazines. Only the SKS-D model will accept AK magazines, and your's looks like the standard non-detachable model.

You are correct. It doesn't accept the AK mags :( I finally got the manual for it. But hey it's still an SKS none the less :)

BTW: what factory is it from?

Here I got a picture of that. I'm assuming its the number in the triangle? It looks like 636 but I'm not sure.
