Made in Croatia? Are they all made there?

Yup. Springfield armor bought the rights to the distribution of a Croatian pistol formerly known as HS2000. As a result the price hase risen drematically.

Anyone hear anything about buying the slide and bbl assembly to
convert my XD40 to 45acp?
Along with the 357 sig bbl You could be looking @ three caliber choices
with one gun same grip trigger holster etc just might need dif mags for the
45.
regards

Not at all unusual for Springfield Armory to import and sell guns under their brand name. Where do you think their 1911's are made.....America?

Unless there's something I'm not aware of, the frame of the XD45ACP is larger than the XD40's frame, so the mags will most likely be larger as well.
I don't know where you'd buy just a slide and barrel assembly in any case...Springfield Armory won't sell parts to ANYONE. ;)

Who said it was unusual? Do you often create questions so you can answer them yourself?

Yes we will...the 5" models, just like the XD9's and XD40's.
they'll have to make it first, 4in model is the only option in .45acp right now...
