Ran like a Piece of……….ART!

Picked this up on a boxing day deal ,Thanks F.O.C.
Cleaned, lubed, added all the parts, Fab Defense Recoil reducing stock and Maple ridge Comp.

Was a little nervous, because of some of the issues people were having.

Took it to the range and ran 150 rnds of PMC through it without a single issue!

I love it! Very accurate, Now to get some better glass for longer range.

In the words of Ferris Bueller " If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up"

Cheers
John

I'm at a whopping 50 rounds of Hirtenberger through mine so far. Overall I've been very impressed as well. Great quality firearm. I'm glad you're enjoying yours, John!

Got one beginning of December and still have not fired it. Just waiting for the stars to align and I finally have a free day to hit the range. Going to feel good when I finally get to put some rounds through it, fingers crossed that I won't have any of the issues others are having

Very nice! I can't wait to get mine. Where did you gett the aftermarket parts? Is the pistol grip also Fab Defense?

I'm borrowing a Stag 10 from a friend to work up a home cast lead bullet load for him to shoot cheap .308. ($0.20 / rd) I have to say I'm really impressed with it. It's just the stock one with upgraded muzzle break and pistol grip. It was one of the easiest semi-auto guns I've ever had to work up a cast load for!!! Seriously!!! It seems to shoot 5 rounds touching each other at 50 yds with a wide variety of loads that all run the gun perfectly. That's not always easy with home cast lead bullets and semi-autos given the limit on bullet speed and pressure with cast as opposed to jacketed bullets.

I'll have to save my pennies! They're not cheap!!

Mine ran great but it needed a cleaning to run properly as the packing oil was way to thick and gummy. Also check all screws cord tightness and locktite gas block screws and handguard screws so nothing loosens up on you. I only had one issue and that was with Chinese steel case Ammo. All brass, 5 different types, ran flawlessly for over 120 rounds.

Was able to get out, looks like I got a good one. All issues seemed mag related, the included pmag ran fine with occasional failures to lock open on last round, but the 3 xcr mags I used had multiple failure to feeds and misfeeds.

I ran a patch down the barrel and lubed up the action with a liberal amount of G96. I used Hirtenberger surplus (boxer primed) and got some pretty good results for my first time out with it. I do agree with criticisms about the poor trigger, it will be getting upgraded for sure. Nonetheless I shot 5 round groups that were regularly 2" or less, 10 round groups would open up to 3 or 4" but that is more likely due to me not the rifle. If I excluded the fliers I was getting some very nice groups. About 100 rounds fired.

Long story short I am very pleased with the Stag 10, worth every penny and I can understand why they are selling out as fast as they can ship them.

Got parts all over, I am a mail-order freak.
Yes that is a Fab Defense Recoil reducing butstock, the grip I wasn't liking, so I changed it out for a Magpul.

Here is an updated pic with a new Nikon Black FX1000 4-16 (great glass!)

Picked up a brand new Stag 10 off a guy who bought it the first shipment. It has a Fail Zero BCG. Broke it in with some Hornsby 165 Gr, I used the magpul and XCR pistol mags. The rifle ran 100%. I put an Eotech Holographic sight on it and zero at 50 yards. Holes through holes. Was very pleased with the rifle and highly recommend it. Changes besides furniture I’ve made are ambi selector fr MRA and I have a SLR Mlok handguard on order as I find the original to beefy, I prefer a slim front end. Black Bear hunting come June, can’t wait.

You should never shoot a new rifle without a full stripping, cleaning, and proper lubrication. Especially a semi auto.
If guys just take them out of the box and go shoot I would expect to hear a lot of problems on here that could have been avoided.
