New Sterling Arms RL9 9mm Glock mag-fed Lever Action

They mention a 7.62x39 version coming in the future. This interests me, hopefully they have enough sense to do proprietary mags so there are no mag limits, but if theyre essentially a US company now (incorporated in texas) that is going to be making them and selling the majority in the US, they most definitely will be using AR or AK mags...too bad, but cant really blame companies for fleeing canada these days.

maybe interesting?

I found Reeves' comments not hiding his distaste for the platform obvious. But he has access to a lot of cool stuff in the US, being American, and so I think the only kind of person who would understand why there would be a market for these are those who are in restrictive markets. We would have probably all laughed at these types of products years ago. But here we are.

I have never had any interactions with JR Cox so I can't say anything about him, good or bad, but given the whole debacle over the R9 and such, you'd think he would make sure the RL9 got an FRT first...I am sure many potential customers will be waiting on this. That said, I know a guy who felt he was left out hanging when his club membership at the JR Cox Calgary range was null and void with no refunds - I wasn't there, so I don't know what exactly happened but seemingly left a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouth

I do commend at least Sterling for coming out with some new products, regardless of the motivation or execution. In this day and age, it is much easier to throw in the towel in this environment rather than push forward with products that comply with these current laws but also offer the end consumer some more variety in their firearms buying choices.

There is no money my friend, the corrupt Liberals have sucked us all dry!.......:)

However, the Liberals are now blaming food costs, and the lack of housing availability and affordability on Iran!

Can you believe these clowns?

Is it Iran or is it Trump?

Maybe it is both?!

The sad part is there will be brain dead morons that will soak up this horsesh1t and regurgitate it like it is gospel.

The TLDR version of the story is JR Cox (of The Shooting Edge) didn't like the fact that Calgary Shooting Center was also selling Swiss Arms rifles. JR went to the RCMP Classification people and claimed that CSC was bringing in Converted Auto (CA) prohibited versions of the SAN. JR sent one of the original batch of SAN rifles to the Firearms Lab to compare against the new ones that CSC was bringing in. Turns out, JRs "control" sample was a CA rifle. So the SAN rifles were initially prohibited. The CPC forced the CFP to reverse that decision and returned the rifles to the NR class. But that sealed the rifles fate and not it is an OIC Prohib.

JR did this to screw a competitor. Nothing more than greed. And in the end, he screwed everyone that owned a SAN.

So #### that guy. Some of you are far too eager to forgive and forget.

That is without a doubt sad and disconcerting. I thought it was just a matter of him continuing to take memberships of a range that was already closing. Reminds me kind of the FOC credit card fiasco. I don't know if I have bought much there since...

Thanks for the context. I don't know how anyone who does that can look the community straight in the face. But while I don't believe in karma, maybe his R18 and R9 banned rifles perhaps is a signal of unethical decisions coming back to oneself.

Still, the reputation damage is bad enough, and people rightfully will remember things like that.

I wonder if anyone ever called Cox publicly on how actions and whether he was able to provide his side of the story.

I must have missed this one.....?

While I prefer a pump action PCCs i could live with a lever gun as long as it had a very short lever throw similar to the Browning BL-22. Should be easy enough to do with short pistol cartridges like the 9mm, 40 S&W or 45 ACP.

So a few years back around Thanksgiving (think it was 2022), FOC had a sale on. Their whole credit card system was compromised and despite knowing this, they continued to run the sale, exposing their customer's CC info on a compromised system. They fixed that later, but never fully acknowledged that they should have shut down the entire system once it was compromised.
