New stock for M-14

I'll let the cat out of the bag ...
Thomas and I are in a race to see who gets their aluminum [ mostly ] stocks finished first.

Forget about wood, and fiberglass, and other sissy materials ...
MUNIMULA is the wave of the future.

[ except for the part about freezing to your exposed skin in the winter, and THEN you know what falls off ... ]

no pics of that project untill I've established my cgn dealer status.
One thing i can say for sure.... don't expect pricing to be anywhere close to a Tapco, mass produced in china ,zytel stock. All my stocks will be HAND MADE in Canada..... and unfortunately.... I don't work for rice :D hehehe

Did you cut the original grip and flushed it to accommodate a pistol grip? Interesting. I'm trying to salvage my chu wood to make a DMR-esque stock. If you did what I think you did, it might be the solution to my quest. I doesn't look bad at all. How did you attach the pistol grip?

to answer that question...... no....the pistol grip is molded to and now physically part of the stock.... it is not relying on screws or bolts ect to maintain it's integrity... a finished customer ready stock would be one solid piece, as it comes out of a mold ;)

I had a extra one a few years ago ( M14E2) but I gave it away to a CGN friend here back when parts could still be shipped without a hassle .
I do not think that there are too many E2's in Canada even though most were made at Canadian Arsenals Longbranch.
I will have to post some pics of mine soon !

here's my new A2 type target stock for m1a or m14s, she's a dream to shoot ;)

I took care to have a cheek coomb that allows for the use of both open sights and scopes. Top of coomb is in line with top flat of stock where reciever beds. the forstock is the same profile as a USGI stock, but is fatter approaching a national match type stock This stock is rear weighted just slightly and the empty stock balances on one finger, right at the base of the grip/trigger area. The m14 full length and shorty rifles balance perfectly and the front heavy feel of the m14 is minimalized quite nicely.
I toyed with making it an adjustable cheek rest..... maybe down the line.... but i stand behinfd the statement that this stock, configured as it is , is open sight and scope friendly. She also weighs just slightly more than a standard G.I.stock..... one of my goals was to keep the weight factor down.... and i think this has been acomplished nicely.
I have been in discussion with site admin, and have been given permission to discuss stocks somewhat, on the premise that I will be registering as a dealer once I am ready to fully market my products. These will not just be some stock slapped together in a guys basement, these will be professionally molded fiberglass stocks, each carrying a limited lifetime warranty (not including painted finish). i'm not there yet, but will be showing off my prototypes and a few may make it into the ee. ;)
