Was at the range the other day and I could shift my MPI by twisting the gun left or right on the bipod. Is there any Canadian dealers that would sell and aftermarket wood stock for these and is there anything I should look out for?

Thanks.

Boyd's makes a nice stock for the savages and there should be one that also fits the stevens 200. I couldn't stand the stock on mine so I had to swap it out for a laminate. I'm pretty sure there is a Canadian dealor for Boyds. Maybe Stocky's stocks? (I've forgotten if they are Canadian)? I know there is a guy on the EE who is a dealor and sells Boyd's stocks, but I'm not sure if I've seen one for Savage / Stevens.

Any rifle will be susceptible to POI shift when you alter the pressure on the forend, even to the extent that simply attaching a bipod will shift your POI; though the Stevens is especially bad for this. It's important to try to keep your position 100% consistent when shooting for a group

True but

I have used lots of rifles with a bipod and none are so bad or obvious. The stock is really horrible up front and I want to change it. Thanks.

You get what you pay for.... Stevens is no exception.... sometimes its better to pay and extra couple of bucks extra and get a different model in the Savage line... They are good for the price, but they are at the bottom of the line.
