Hey all,

I know this has been done a thousand times before, but it's my first rifle and I did these basic mods myself, so I'm pretty happy:

- changed stock to Tapco intrafuse
- added front folding grip
- removed useless bayonet and added equally useless bipod, lol.

I know I'm being way too enthusiastic about this, but hell, I think it looks so badass. Although the baby toys in the background are really ruining my street cred.

BTW, does anyone know where one can find an authentic knife bayonet for the SKS? I want one.

Great work I like it! Is there anyway to install the scope right onto the gun, as in where the rear sight is? I always have this thing in the back of my mind that having a scope on the far back piece and/or gas tube (which are both removable separate from the actual gun) will lose zero since there is sometimes some play with their movements. And also it's not directly attached to the barrel in one solid steel piece. Or I just might be over thinking things. Either way nice setup, ignore any bubba remarks. You look is hopefully what I aim to do with my SKS also. Good job!

Only thing I'd suggest is grab a few of the tapco magazines. Put the 5/20 round detachable mags on that and Itl make up for any street cred lost by the babytoys haha

Yeah, check out this guy's SKS:

Nice SKS build

The scope is mounted to the side instead of the receiver cover. I don't have the experience to start drilling holes into the receiver, so I just used the receiver cover with the rail that came with the rifle.

Lol, yeah, I think I should do that. Love the look of the detachable mags but I hear you have to be selective cause some of them can cause jams. But I'll do some homework on it and get that done ASAP.

I have a half dozen and havnt had any issues. Well, not jamming, the problem that can arise is depending on the year I think there's some subtle differences in how they fit. At least with the Russians. I have no experience with the Norcs but the post 51 Russians seem to fit fine and the ones before need a little bit of sanding on the mag to seat proper. Once I did that I had no problems. but if someone knows antic for the gun as opposed to fixing each mag feel free to speak up.
