i dont know if the M2000 even has a tactical version.. so i just bought 2x barrels with mine and chopped one off at 16.5" :D

with the mag extension it is 7+1 with 3" shells .. now i need to figure out a way to attach my sling and side saddle as the M2 saddle from Mesa just doesnt quite fit ( reciever geometry is a little different ) ..
tactical charging handle from Briley is on the way as we speak.
also planning to re-cut it for chokes and use a Briley extended/ported choke for a bit of compensation .. would Mod. be too much for a tactical shotgun ? maybe IC

anyway the result is seen below

tossing up having a proper end made for the mag extension.. and whether to matte black the ext, or desert cam the whole thing

Looks good. When i first read your title I almost crapped myself as we all know it's illegal to gut barrels below 18/18.5" in Canada. Then I looked at your screen name. :)

One quick question though, why did you cut the barrel shorter than the mag extension? Personally, I think it would have looked better to have them flush. It does look good though! I'm sure you're gonna have a lot of fun with that!

As for the choke, IC would be fine but I'd probably go with mod. Contrary to what we see in Hollywood, a shotgun still needs to be aimed so don't worry about getting a good spread for up close shooting. I'd be more concerned with keeping the spread tighter out at a reasonable distance to increase your effective range. But that's just me.

i did want it to be flush.. but it had to be cut to the rib pillar .. it was either slightly short or another 1.5" past the end of the mag tube

i went with shorter for a couple reasons..
A) the mag tube wont get in the way anyway ..
B) i like the bulldog look ..
C) if im dumb enough to give it a jab at the ground, and not realise, the mag tube will make impact and the barrel will be clear
D) if i do modify the end of the mag tube to have a steel cap, i will likely have it made into a standoff attachment.. so its going to need to be a little longer
E) im going to be using a briley extended and ported choke .. so it will even up the lengths when installed
F) with the standard mag cap on this still looks totally awesome.. would just look gumby if it was longer :D
