Just picked up a new Stoeger X50 in .177 with the 3 to 9 X 40 Stoeger Scope and mounts.. Would have preferred in .22 but not available at my location. You need mussel to #### it but talk about horsepower. Tested it today in the wind so hard to tell but seems very accurate. Weights 9.9lbs. More than my O/U Clays gun. Trigger leaves a lot to be desired but there is an accessory one available. Just tried some cheap Crossman pellets so far. Looking forward to giving it a thorough work out soon.;)

How loud is it? I'm in the market for an air rifle and I'm not familiar with them so don't know wheich way to lean. Cabelas has a Gamo on sale for 199.00, which is 100.00 off normal price listing.

Stoeger X-50

Mine is also fairly quiet. How is yours for pellet choice? Had to go through quite a selection until I found what it liked.....THEN the groups tightened right up and it became a very accurate gun. I would also of prefered a 22 but the 177 seems to have lots of power and seems to shoot very flat (at the ranges I shoot at)

Cheers - Gus:p

Anyone else have a review of the stoeger X50? I just traded for Gus'... Looking for some opinions and field experience. Looking forward to pounding some tin.

I put a Charlie da Tuna trigger in my x10. World of difference. Scary light pull now. We'll worth the $35 direct from Charlie.

Use heavy pellets. 10.5 grn shoot well out of my x10 in. 177. Using too light pellets will wreck the spring.

I have it in .22 and I was kinda disappointed when I first got it
Only because the grouping was terrible
But after about 50 shots it seemed to break itself in and it's honesty AWESOME now
Packs ALOT of punch and is accurate every time. Very happy with it

X2 on both the heavier pellets and I also had a Charlie tuna GTX but in a different air rifle... you could tune it so light that the heartbeat in your finger would probably fire it!

Also would prefer the .22 as I'm pretty sure its subsonic with heavy lead pellets. ** I was also lead to believe that subsonic is the way to go if your just looking for pure
accuracy and not that extra ft/lbs of punch **
