Rent a little bit of space for a Tim Horton's storefront with free wifi.

I don't have the details on your locations but that might be a way to keep "the other halves" entertained lol.

Edit: How about a ball-pit for the kids? Just kidding :p

Wifi with one or 2 mediocre computers for people who don't have it on their pad/phone. Solves the bored people problem right away. Make a list of easy to access places that are close by that they can visit for a hour or so. You're fellow local merchants will like you more and you can hold your customers ransom for a bit longer and sell more stuff.

Excellent lighting. Prevents accidental buyers remorse when they get it home and the finish/color is not what they though it was. You seem to know your customers pretty well but it never hurts to think 360. Gun + spare mags/speedloaders + ammo + cleaning stuff + targets + target patches + cases = I don't have to be arsed to go anywhere else to get stuff done.

Indoor Hogans Alley paintball range. Probably way off scope but I'd bet you make a killing renting full auto's.

Computer(s) with your website on them to quickly check if you have an item or if it's in stock, bathroom for prolonged visits, gun tool isle/area, gunsmith, gun related clothing.

One large issue I'd like to address, and I'm not sure if I can, is occupying peoples spouses that don't shoot. Many people come in with their partner/spouse/significant other and they get bored quickly....probably the same way I feel when my wife takes me shoe shopping.

There is always the lounge idea but I'm not sure that is the answer.

Maybe not a full on lounge. But back to the shopping, most clothing stores have what I like to call the "boy bench" in the change room while our ladies try on the entire store. That being said perhaps a "wife bench" is the answer with magazines with such desirable content as home and garden and fashion lol or a TV with the food network, not HGTV tho.... that's a bad idea because then the argument comes out "you just spent $2000 on a firearm guess what I'm doing to the kitchen!"

Saw a comment about going off topic with kitchen stuff...

in montreal, there is a store that is owned by a man and his sister, half of the store is selling kitchen products, the other half (maybe a little less of half) is selling guns and ammo .

Both sides seem to be doing great business...

Dante Sports- it's a great store!

My wife rolled her eyes when I told her about the "mens" and "womens" sides (not officially). Then when I went in- she left me alone as long as I wanted while she looked at all the kitchen gear.

If I may add. There is nothing shamefull to have two business under the same roof.

My spouse is a physician (a family doctor) and her major hobby is knitting for our grand children and for me (yes I have to wear those things...) and belive it or know these wool stuff cost a bundle and knitting store are making good business. At my office there is a knitting club.

Also having a good coffee shop would be great.

That store is called Quincallerie Dante near the Jean Talon market.
