New Striker Fired H&K VP9

I loved shooting the HK45 and P30... just never really liked their mag release...

Most people do not use the HK style paddle mag release in the most correct and efficient way. It was designed when the NJ State Police asked for a high "american" mag release to be added to the P7 series, but the squeeze cocker design precluded the use of a button. The paddle mag release was originally designed to be manipulated with the trigger finger of the shooting hand. This has a few advantages as the trigger finger has better dexterity and your grip does not need to shift. All subsequent HKs have the paddle mag release for these reasons.

I like both system, I find the button a lot easier to use in the winter, because I can see what my finger is doing (but can't feel it... so I run into an interesting scenario this winter with the paddle release where I thought I was reaching for the release but my finger was doing something totally different, it was so cold that I could not feel it and being on the other side, it is hard to see too, so long story short, the paddle is great and better except for when your hands are frozen. lol

So which sponsors are going to be carrying this? And when?

Hmmmm walther, xdm or this..... got some decision making to do

I have never been accused of being a fan of HK rifles, but they sure know how to build a pistol. I loved the P30 so I will impatiently wait for a Canadian legal version of the VP9.
