Doing the math, if they were selling for $3800 in late 2013 when the CHF was at 1.18 CAD they should, in theory, and that is if the cost of raw & labour didn't move witch I doubt, with the current exchange rates of today go for around $4500.

With the cost of labour, raw materials, transport, plant operation...etc. They will probably cost a little more than $4500. Luckly the Switzerland inflation rate dropped by over half a point in the last 18 months, witch may not mean a lot but still possible to bring them in "cheaper".
It will probably take over 3 yrs get an FRT for any other cals of SAN's other than 5.56x45... By that time, who knows what NR will mean lol!

20-25% increase would probably amount to 30-40% price increase. Wholesaler and retailer are welcome to prove me wrong
I couldn't give my old black special away. Think I sold it for 1600-1800 with lots of mags, rail, etc. Mind you 7 years ago. Had gotten out of the army and was training for current job, unpaid for 3 months. Was desperate for $$ I guess. Prob still my favorite NR. (ACR is close though)
what is the new retail price back then? 7 years ago? like $2300?
Yeah it was around that. I think 3100 all in with mags. Mags were pretty expensive.
seems swiss holds their value pretty well, I think a used swiss NR were going for $2700-$2800 before the scare.

I got an NEA lower that accepts AR mags. I also threw a Brugger and Thomet rail on her.
