Hi,

I'm in the market for a side by side gun, ideally a 12g but 20 gauge with the following criteria:
30'' + barrel (26'' 28'' is ok)
New or recent so it can take modern ammo.
2 3/4''
English straight stock
Screw in choke
Independent ejector (this seems to be tricky I've only seen this on a Baikal of a friend I'd like something a bit higher quality and finish) If not Extractor.
1 trigger (if not two)

I've looked what's availale in new either it's way over my budget or doesn't meet my criterias.
The CZ Sharptail Target seems nice but doesn't have ejector nor the english stock.

Regards.

The Browning BSS SxS's are decent quality, robust and reliable guns. I highly doubt you will find one with a 30" barrel, let alone a straight stock.
Most (if not all) are 26" Imp. Cyl. / Mod. or 28" Mod. / Full. 12's are often available at $1000 - $1400, the 20's average a $ 250 - $ 500 more.

The Ithaca 100, 200 and 280E's are comparable ( the E is a straight stock) but again, good luck on 30" ... don't think so.

From time to time you might find a good Beretta 409PB or old model Silver Hawk in good shape for comparable money.

I found a Union Armera (Grulla) 12 gauge 206E boxlock/ejector for $1000 not too long ago. PoW grip, 28" barrels.
They're out there, but not many of them.

A 12 gauge 30" Parker VH was on the EE recently from BC at $ 650.

Good luck with your search ! ;)

I was in contact with Chris Dawe about a month ago and he sent me photos of a very nice Parker VH for $1000 that someone he knew was willing to sell. 12 gauge 30" barrels but with an original pistol grip stock. Nice gun though, all the screws were perfect!

Probably a nice gun but likely as opposite as to what the OP wants as you can get. But if someone else out there is looking for a vintage gun...........

I didn't expect that many quality reply! I guess the cz bobwhite is the first on the list so far.
Thanks
Any sxs new with one trigger and ejector with removable chokes??

First problem is getting a non-Turkish gun in 3", then adding chokes, then DT's, then ejectors. European guns are now being updated for steel, as they had to for CIP proofs, they started doing that 3-4 yrs ago.
But, anything other than Turkish, is over the 3 mark. There was stuff sold over the last few yrs that was 2-3/4" , very little with chokes. The Webley's that Epps has, are Turkish guns, all over the 2 mark, SST. Franchi has one out, haven't noticed it listed over here yet, SST, no ejectors. Fabarm has some with SST, has everything else, FAIR had only SST, showing DT's now, not sure about ejectors, Fausti was 2-3/4, and has now jacked the price. Italian guns are 3 & up, German are 5 and up. Spanish are still 2-3/4 non choked, as far as I have been able to see.
Either have to wait, compromise or save some loot if you don't want Turkish, want chokes, and want to shoot steel, and want ejectors and DT's. Even the 486 Beretta is SST at present. It isn't really a buyers market, unless you spend the loot for it.
Cat just got an Iside hammer double, 3" 20ga from FAIR, DT, chokes, English stock, not sure if they are eject or extract, CCH with no engraving. He hasn't said, but my bet is 4+, Iside was 2900 4 yrs ago, and it isn't nearly as nice as what he has there. Pics are on AO. If I hadn't just had hail damage and a decoy trailer stolen, I'd have one coming. Still trying to think of a way to do it.
