Anyone out there know who is making new (and reasonably priced) SXS shotguns? I'm looking for a step above the Norinco one, but I'm not looking to break the bank here. Just think it would be cool to have a 20g or 12g SXS to use as a truck gun, general use gun. Any ideas on where I could find something like that new and cheap-ish?

If you are looking for a short barreled sxs, for example - a Coachgun type then I would recommend a Remington SPR 220 (Baikal) 12ga, 2 3/4in chambered, 20in bbls + fixed IC/IC chokes (not sure if they have 20ga available as well). It is mechanically a very well built gun in comparison to a Stoeger Coachgun. Oh, btw, I own/use one of those as a back-up during bird hunting .....it serves well in the close confines of the Grouse bush:)

The finesse will be visibly absent but then it is $300+ firearm. Believe there is one for sale in the EE as I write.

You may also look at some of the Used sxs that TradeexCanada.com carries for aprox $200+, however, they all have standard 28in bbls if I'm not way off track here. You would need to pay close attention to the description of each firearm displayed there. Very good folks to deal with.

Thanks, Ahsan. So you would say that the Baikal is better built tham the Stoeger? If I'm reading you correctly, anyway. I would say I'm likely looking for a 20" barrel model. I'm not looking to replace the 870 for hunting, just something to kick around with.
