Not sure if it's been posted yet or not, but it looks like sako is going to offer a take down rifle (or stock?) of sorts....

Looks interesting.

I just measured the barreled action on my Finnlight, and it's around 32". The stock measured about 31"

On the bottom right, that looks like an extended screw, yes? As in tool required for takedown? If a tool is required, then it looks like the long way around back to the same place. I'm interested to see more as info becomes available.

Looks like standard Sako practice, unnecessarily complicated and some what delicate looking

Having said that, if i get a chance to finger one I just might have to get one

Wouldn't pulling the action screws and taking off the stock be less screwing around? That rifle is a swing and a miss.

I don't see the point since the barrelled action is longer than the stock.

That's where I was going with the 32" and 31" measurements.

Guess I'll stick with my "take down kimber", and weatherby, and ruger...

Although I am a sako fan, I'm gonna have to agree about it being a swing and a miss, unless I'm missing some big feature. Sure doesn't seem to be much info on the web I could find.

Looks like the same piece of (photoshop) wood in both rifles...I doubt that in reality the grain in the two pieces of stock wood will match so well. I'd say they are starting to run out of sources for affordable long pieces of walnut.

I spoke to P&D Sako will introduce thses three models at the IWA show in Germany in march, that's when it will be introduced.
