It's hard to tell from the pics but does yours have kind of a funny shape in the inlet at the tang? Mine doesn't follow the outline of the action very well in that area. I'm thinking I might shape some body filler in there before bedding.

What type of paint does a guy use that will stick ? My t3 factory stock is painted and it doesn't take much to scratch or peel off .
Is the material of these stocks better that way ? Or is it a certain paint that wears better ?

Josh, what are the details on the Tikka your building? I have a T3 SS 6.5x55 and a 223 Super Lite I wouldnt mind re-stocking.
