New to action shooting games

I want to start getting into action shooting games IPSC IDPA cowboy action all that fun stuff but I don't even know where to begin(gear needed,where?) I'm in the Niagara Ontario area so I need to find some beginner level stuff

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You need a gun, a holster, a few mags and lots of ammo.

I've never heard of IPDC, but for IPSC you'll also require a black badge safety course.

I think you mean IDPA.

To copy what Onagoth said, you need a gun that is legal for IDPA/IPSC (most stock guns are good for both in some form or another), at least 3 mags for IDPA, more for IPSC (although there is no such thing as too many mags), a good holster that works for the sport you want, mag pouches and LOTS of ammo.

IDPA requirements varry from club to club. IPSC requires a Black Badge.

Most of the courses have come and gone for the summer, but you need to go to this IPSC page and pick the locations you are willing to travel to, and then you'll receive notifications of available courses. You then email the instructor and hope that you get into the course, they fill up fast.

I did mine with Alex at Silverdale, highly recommended.
