So i Just picked up my first AR 15. I bought a DPMS Oracle. I am looking at ordering some parts for it. Grips/Stock/Forend. I am wondering if the Daniel Defence Omega X will fit on my Rifle? Anyone have expieriance? And are there any special tools required to remove stock? I appreciate all the help. Really looking forward to having some fun.

PS: I am also in market for a good trigger.

You will probably want a standard stock removal tool in order to remove the forend. You'll also need an armourer's wrench/barrel nut wrench to take off your old barrel nut and install the new proprietary one that comes with the Omega X. This means as well that you will need an upper receiver vice block in order to hold your receiver while you torque off the nut. You will need a torque wrench to torque the new nut to spec.

The 7" version of the Omega X should hopefully fit fine behind your existing gas block and since the rail is of a two-piece construction, you shouldn't have to remove the gas block to get it on, which is good.

If you are looking for a more drop in replacement then the EZ CAR 7.0 is what you want. It will mount using your existing delta ring and handguard cap. It doesn't free float the barrel though.

But to install new barrel nut, doesnt the gas block have to be removed?
