Hi Guys,

Im considering purchasing an MP 15 sport 2, what are your experiences with them? Lately, I have heard mixed reviews should I get one? If not what are my other choices for 700-1000$.

Thanks.

Yes, get a used one to save even more on the MP15 :)

Bad review(s)? Was it 'bad' because it was an MP15, or was it 'bad' because it's a 600-700$ AR?

Like others will say, start with a 600-700$ AR, then get used to it, THEN upgrade it as you know more about yourself, the rifle, and how the combo-of-you-and-it works out :)

Excellent value. Great AR. Decent results. I have a Nikon M223 mounted on mine. My son put 10 rounds into 2" circle at 100yds (55gr reloads), 10 rounds into a 4" circle at 200yds, and 10 rounds into a 6" circle at 300yds. Considering it was a breezy day they were respectable results, plus it was only the third time he shot the S&W.
