Hey CGN,

I just received my Norinco CQ-A in the mail today (Thank you Marstar) and i just wanted to know:

1. what type of lubricant should i use?
2. Should i stick to Brass or is steel cased rounds fine in this platform?
3. Is the CQ-A milspec? I would like to add a Magpul MOE furniture kit down the road.

Thanks CGN!

1. Lube is a personal preference. You can go old and trusty G96, Hoppes #9, TW25B etc or the exotics like FrogLube, FireClean etc.
2. Brass or steel case both work well. The steel case are coated and softer than your barrel so it won't damage your rifle. Brass you can save for later if you get into reloading.
3. Commercial spec.
