So i picked up a BP uberti Remington 1858 army clone in stainless, that's been sitting in the display at my local gun store for years, very gently used. Did a bit of reading on line, picked up related paraphanalia and headed to the range...holy crap these things are accurate! who knew! (not me obviously).
After a couple of fouling shots, it will pile 5 balls into a 1.5 inch group at 12 yards off hand...seems the 6th always flys out another inch...have to mark the chambers to see if its the same one. PLUS, using the suggestions off a web site i found, there's hardly any fouling....and boy, what a hoot!
Dragged my father out, he avoids shooting any more because his eyes aren't as sharp as they where and he feels he doesn't shoot well enough. ROFL, he was like a kid in a candy store....
Thats all, just had a blast, cleaned it all up, and can't wait to do it again...
plus it's more relaxing in a strange way then shooting my modern stuff...no pressure, and everyone loves to watch the show when you shoot it
