New to Canada: GM6 Lynx -50 cal Semi-auto bullpup

Hi 84, your wrong, Patriots while not being the raving success they claimed during the 1991 Gulf War did shoot down Scuds and I recall watching CNN live and seeing the Patriot going up to connect with incoming Scud on more then one occasion. While the .50 rifle has a place on the battle field to "sell" it as its "reason for being" as a AMR is, and I stand by this, nonsense. The statement of lighting a drum of oil and driving off a few miles also does not hold water and the Iraqis went to great lengths to hide the launch vehicles and generally lived in fear of being bombed. Poster 94, I am not even going to entertain a response to your..........whatever you want to call that. To recap folks the .50 does have a role and place on the battle field, yes it can shoot holes in "things" (read trucks, helicopters, AC and according to 94 blow up tanks with a single shot to the tracks BTW 94 did you watch to much "Rat Patrol" as kid?) its the flogging the .50 as a "AMR" that is just salesmanship that I refuse to buy into.
Lastly I think one hell of a lot more JDAMs have been delivered to Libya Vs .50 cal sniper fire

I admit to having no personal knowledge in this field. All I am doing is relaying information I read in a newspaper article some years after the First Gulf War. The claim made by that author, who did have knowledge in the field, was that most or all of those spectacular interceptions (and I saw them, too) were optical illusions. The Scuds would be seen coming in, the Patriots would go up, and the Scuds would explode -- but there was no connection between the two.

Yes, they did go to great lengths to hide their launch vehicles. One of the ways they did it was to use decoys. (Again, something I read, not personal knowledge. Probably a Gwyn Dyer article from years past.) The US Air Force loves to publicize its successes, real and imagined. It helps greatly when Congress is voting allocations. The British SAS prefers to keep quiet. Being ignored or forgotten doesn't jeopardize future missions.

Perfectly true.

XRCD011, please do not think I am trying to disparage you. I am only trying to spread around some little known facts that counter the official propoganda. We get so much of the latter and it gets worse every year. :(

While I will probably never own one, this does appear to be an amazing rifle, good on Tactical Imports for bringing it in, though you might have better success if you offer a financing plan ;)

Thank you very much once again for the update.

Is it possible to get any footage of the firearm being operated by a left hand shooter?

Everything looks great for right hand operation as designed but if not lefty friendly I am only left with ATR to go with.

Thank you once again, Matt.

We will ask the manufacturer about left hand operation. They may be able to produce a left hand model or have some advice on the subject.

I'm still curious: if I order one, when do I get it?
I still don't know: is there a rifle somewhere I can try or at least handle?

Manufacturer has stated an average delivery time of 3-4 months, but not more than 6.

After the first shipment arrives we will have one on hand in Ontario.

I concur, this thing costs as much as a small car. Is there going to be an optional payment plan?

We can offer a payment plan. The only issue with that would be that it would take longer for you to get your GM6 over the standard method for the GM6 (downpayment up front; payment prior to shipment)

Feel free to send us an email and we can work something out :)

I am glad somebody in Canada is bringing in cool and unique guns like this. I won't be able to afford one of these in this life or the next. I'm sure a few others will, however, and that makes me happy because it makes Wendy cry :)

If I bought one of these what happens if the RCMP doesn't like .50 cal semi-autos any more? I'm screwed out of $13K?

Life is full of what if's. If we run out of gasoline how do you plan on getting to work? What if the power goes out? There's currently no problem with .50 cal's in Canada, it getting them here that's the problem. So why would there be an 'if' concern? I'd buy one, but have nowhere to shoot the darn thing.
I would also like to take a moment to thank Tactical Import's for all their hard work, and for bringing such unique items into Canada ( aka making Wendy cry)

The one good thing at least is the more of them in private hands, the better. I figure this logic has a lot to do with why the Mini-14 hasn't been outlawed by name after all the crimes it has been used in.

Making Windy cry makes me smile :D

I cant believe i'm seriously considering this purchase. I must be retarded.
Is there any hope of getting some cheap(er) 12.7mm russian ammo into the country. how bout a package deal with about a barrel's life worth of 12.7x108mm ;) ?

as for the optional finishes..gotta be 24K gold, right? maybe bright nickel? might as well go full retard.
