^^^^^^you are saying you have already purchased the fixed.....and the second one you are saving up for is the folder?.......

i dont think many people here are worried about late delivery. tactical imports said at one point they were fairly sure of the exact date but didn't want to say it in case something went wrong and everybody got uppity. i think what most guys, myself included, would like is a video or two of the rifle, NOT that sad cellphone vid they posted months ago, come on guys you know better. give us some closeups of your prototype, yes we have high def vids on youtube of other type 81s, give us one of YOURS. maybe some personal observations you have after handling and shooting it, (not the vague remarks made after posting that short clip on youtube)

and responses to the basic questions people have been asking. may of them have gone unanswered, especially back before this thread was cleaned up

I don't think Tactical Imports owes us/you anything. They don't manufacture the gun. Did you know that? It will be Norinco with all the pros and cons as we know. Seems you have some anxiety about your order? Then why did you do it? There were no promises made, the BS threat which got deleted should not have happened in the first place.

I think you are wrong. You (us) are TI's paying customers and as such TI do owe us what they promised (i.e. a certain product at certain time frame). Likewise, Norinco owes to TI. Regardless of that, TI didn't default on their promise as Q3 has just started so same as you i also don't understand what's all this anxiety about...

Nobody is owed a rifle until the close of the agree-upon time frame. I don't think it's even reasonable to be pestering them about it now at all given that the window only just opened. It's not like it's September 29th and we have not heard a word from them.

Dont put words in anyones mouth.

I am well aware who manufactures the rifle

And i have no anxiety about the order, nor did i imply it.

But people would like updates.

If you have a problem with that, unsubscribe from this thread and check back in a few months.

CAD-spec rifle is exclusive to poly. Poly is exclusive to us.

We were told a date by the manufacturer, but by saying Q3 we have some leeway in case of delays. It is not a guarantee however production is already booked, they have their deposit and we are in the midst of making arrangements to visit the factory to inspect the shipment.

Prices are locked in. Famae 542 mags were offered at cost pricing for all famae pre-order customers. Only those that did not pre-order were charged mag prices with a small margin

Have you visited the factory yet?
Is the production date still on time or has that changed?

Please let TI answer for me I'm not interested in peoples opinions or predictions these are simple questions that don't need to be cryptic or vague answers.

Thanks for the reply if there are still rifles available and on time I would be interested in purchasing more of them.

TACTICAL IMPORTS (and no ones else please). what kind of wood is used on the stocks? and what color will the stain be on the wood? i really like deep browns and reds so if its light ill just refinish it but im curious how these will look and what kind of wood.

This is not how the final guns will look like. they will have stained wood and blued finish. They will look exactly like the pictures we posted, just with a slightly longer barrel

I guess it will look just like the pictures they posted

Today's secret word is...

thats what im worried about but im holding out hope that TI had some input on the wood type. i had a m305 with decent wood, and an sks-d with garbage so i guess ill do the ol' thumbnail test when it arrives

What exactly are you worried about appears in what stain? You're looking for decent... what?

im not worried about the stain of the wood, i prefer darker stains like the ones in the pictures TI has provided, but if for example they shipped with really light wood id re stain it a dark brown or deep red

as for the wood im just worried it may be the cheap soft wood norinco has put on guns in the past. some of the wood they use is decent, others, not so much. im hoping for some decent hard wood. i dont know if norinco would put walnut on their guns but i just dont want to be able to dig a hole in it with my thumb nail if you know what i mean.
