No kidding! Hopefully we can at least get an update of some sort soon! I would be rather disappointed if in the final hour they tell us they'll be late or whatever.
Not even half way thru Q3...hope it works out well.
I still haven't ordered one yet, in blind faith. For those eagerly waiting and in the know, why should I want one of these rifles? What should I want in these that I don't get from my tuned SKS's or XCR? Yes, I know there are 'reasons' but what do you say to a person asking, that may not have an x39 yet?
That's like asking why do I want an AR!???!
It comes down to preference and want.
Why do I want it, cuz I shoot a ####load of x39 ammo and my xcr's were disappointments, sks's never did anything for me, 7.62x39 AR's didn't satisfy me for that round or reliability (ones I've had atleast) but this like the vz58 has more of that utilitarian appeal to me.
That and while living in a country that doesn't trust it's people more then criminals, I will gladly wait for this thing to happen OR I could have pre ordered a CZ Shadow 2 and still be waiting for it aswell or have ordered a Marstar T2 garand which LOL we all know how those are.going
These are valid reasons to me. I like the utilitarian appeal, with an updated service rifle that replaced the Type 56 SKS and Type 56 AK. Hopefully we'll see some basic red dot mount options for the rear sight or barrel trunnion.
My eyes are not so great for irons. This odes appeal to me much more the CZ 858 / VZ 58. Maybe I'll consider selling my XCR 7.62x39 upper in favour of this, time will tell.

I think the waiting is worse when you know the frt exists, is approved, but the dealer doesn't have them yet.
Vs waiting for the lab when you know your dealer has them in a safe place across the boarder waiting to go....

Hahaha so true, but just knowing it has an NR FRT entry lets us know it's not a pipe dream.
People have this stigma of not wanting to get in on a pre order that has you pay full upfront, if they don't come in on the time frame you want then just cancel.
