If you don't have the answer, why do you bother me?

LMAO...wow, just wow. What a friendly guy you must be!!! And your self importance meter is off the charts!!!

There is no gun in country (expect a RCMP test one)..and only a few in the USA, I would be surprised is there is more than 5...they are rare and $$$ down there and they wouldn't be cutting into them to make a different mag fit...NEW Chinese (and Russian) guns have been blocked from the USA for 20+ years...

Personally I choose the the fixed stock as I did not like the "look" of the folding stock.....and I like to option of sanding down the wood and refinishing it with a stain and laquer of my choosing......but from the pics we have seen the wood looks great as it is! Flip a coin if you really can't decide!
Im sorry if this has been covered, i haven't gone through the whole thread. I was wondering if the folding stock will be available for purchase separately? That way i guy could buy the full wood version and add a folder as a ad on later. I would think the folder would be more likly available than just the butt stock.

Has been covered and the answer is NO as from what I recall they are actually welded or pinned to the receiver

One last question before I put my preorder in. Does the fixed stock have a cleaning kit in the rear similar to an sks? I ask because of a video I watched on youtube and it looked as if the guy put his finger in something back there.

Apparently the folder has the cleaning kit in the plastic section near the receiver so I would assume the fixed has a cleaning kit in the stock. That would be very convenient.

Regarding T81 stocks, a few years after their original adoption by the PLA in 1980s, quite some fixed stock T81s were reported to have developed sizable cracks. Also, the cost was a bit higher producing the fixed stock version (China is timber scarce). Further, the tactical benefits of steel folding stock are too obvious to be ignored. Therefore, once technology rendered the sate arsenals the ability to make folding ones with much more acceptable qualities for the harsh combat situations, the folding stock T81s soon became the major (and only cir ca 1980s) issued version for the PLA and the Chinese police force. The wood used for early versions of fixed stock T81s was Chinese Catalpa wood.

Something different from all the bickering - some reading material while you wait..... from an old Guns and Ammo magazine. Back when reviews were print only LOL. It is a pretty good article though with a lot of info.
