Hi all. Just passed both gun courses and now waiting for paperwork. Looking at guns I think I want a 22 maybe a marlin 10/22 and a Ruger marlin 1894sbl in 354 mag. Not looking to hunt, I just to go to range or practicing on crown land if that’s possible. Where best place to buy guns? I know the 1894 is hard to get but I can wait. Thanks.

Welcome to CGN. Site sponsors are a good place to start shopping.

I've had good service from Bullseye North, as of late.

Welcome to the CGN from southern Ontario Wayne.
Are the any local gun shops near you? I try to support LGS's but if they don't have what your after or can't get it, when you get access to the E.E. here or site sponsors are a great place.

Welcome to a life of guns.
It is always best to start with a good 22.
If you are looking at the Marlin 60 verses the Ruger 10/22
My suggestion is to go with the Ruger 10/22, there are many more upgrades available, I have one.
I also have a Browning 22 semiauto that discharges from the bottom, great for left hand shooters, I am one.
You should also have a revolver on hand, because you are not able to purchase a hand gun just yet.
Check out the Heritage Rough Rider revolver, it comes in 22 and you can purchase an additional cylinder in 22 mag.
The best on line store for availability, prices, fast shipping, is Tenda Canada start with them to compare with others.
Have fun shooting and be safe!
