Sooooo many options!

I would suggest a rimfire to start as it is cost prohibitive for many of us to shoot a hundreds of rounds of centrefire everytime we go to the range practicing. There are also way more precision rimfire competitions to go to. The basic goto would be a CZ457, Tikka T1X, or Bergara with the 700 Action. Get one with a heavy barrel and throw it in an MDT XRS or ACC chassis - their Black Friday sale is coming up. Even if centrefire PRS is your goal, you will learn the key transferable skills like establishing solid positions, reading wind, and DOPE.
