Hi everyone, this is my first post as I am currently looking for my first hunting shotgun. I am interested in a 20 gauge smoothbore, preferably with a 28” barrel, break action, single or over/under barrels. Thanks.
 
Welcome from SEOntario. Great to add another member. Hopefully another vote for blue. Twenties are a nice balance in a shotgun between power/recoil/weight and handling. Nice pump would check lots of boxes!!
 
I would suggest going on some of the site sponsors. Many sell both new and used. I wouldn’t be afraid of a higher grade used gun verses a lower grade new gun. A lot will depend on your intended uses. How many shells your likely to shoot? Will it just be for clay targets or hunting etc. Also the budget will be the deciding factor.

I’ll be focusing on wild turkey and grouse. I will have to go through a few shells at the range prior to going out. I do agree with you that a better used gun is better than a lesser new one. Thanks for the feedback.
