500 yards would be my max. I have ballistic turrets dialed in at 500 yards.500 yard moose and elk is asking a lot of the 6.5 CM. If you try it I suggest you learn all you can about tracking wounded game.

Have to admit though, when I was a brand spankin new hunter, I thought i needed to be able to kill stuff out to 500 as well. I spent a lot of time doing long range practice out to 500. My first deer was maybe 50 feet LOL
