I have one coming.....all I know is its from 1939, all parts matching other than the mag and it come with its original "army" holster.....can some collectors help me out with details to look for and a ballpark value for insurance....:)

If it's a 1939, then it's made by Mauser but it will be marked with a code instead. They used several codes: 42, s/42, byf.
9mm P, 8 rounds, SUPER nice to shoot and far more accurate than most people suppose.

DO have fun!

Just got one as well, 1936 with a long barrel but no arty sights on it. Came with a wire loop stock, any idea whether the stock is aftermarket or was offered by Mauser?

How long is your Barrel in Inches?

Last Arty made was in 1918.

Navy or a recently replaced new made barrel?

Loop Stock - Home made? All were wood and metal (fittings) stocks.

Pics?

There were several styles of aftermarket wire stocks made in the US for the Luger. Offhand I can not remember if it pre or post WWII, most likely in the 50's~60's.
