New to me Blk Special

This is the funniest set of threads that I have ever read.

It's amazing how much courage that some people have on the internet when they start writing about firearms (which they know little about and have no operational experience with). Swiss Arms weapons are very expensive but they are also very good. Anyone who says differently does not have the experience to back up what they say.

I love AR 15's and you may find a regular production one that will shoot with a Swiss Arms but they are rare unless you buy one of the DCM guns. To ensure that an AR 15 shoots as good (or slightly better) than a Swiss Arms rifle you usually need to buy custom parts and swap them out. When you are finished you are much closer to the base price of a Swiss Arms rifle.

I prefer Swiss Arms to all others (and I've used most). If you can't afford one buy an AR 15 and you will have a great gun that is very good and accurate performer. If you are into the SKS and 7.62 x 39 rifles then you are not looking at competitive Service Rifles (able to be shot to 500meters) and are in a different class.

If you state Swiss Arms are expensive-you are right.
If you state Swiss Arms are junk-you're pretending to know more than you do.

Just look at whay you and your new toy started Dugy....

Congrats btw..

Since the day I was brought into this world I have started s**t...I took my first 2 breaths then pee'd in the doctors face after he slapped my back....What can I say Jim? I hope to see ya soon at one of the ranges so you can blast away with the 'swiss miss'...haters are haters and no one can change their negative attitudes. I can't afford a Ferrari but sweet zombie jebus I love them and certainly would never slag them...

I'll be back at the range in about 3-4 weeks when I can use my left arm again then I'll give 'er a go..

Thanks for the Dog comments everone...She is a sweet beasty. Likes gun shots too...I'll hav to get some saddle packs made for her so she can tote my ammo on the next Varmint shoot...

I couldn't wait any longer! I still have 2 more pistols and a 10/22 in the EE that I have to sell to pay this baby off but the force was too strong. So check out the guns and buy them if you can! I got it Wednesday, lightly used, and can't wait to get it out!

It's the target model... I would have liked to have irons on it but you can't have everything right? I guess the Leupold CQT more than makes up for my loss though! Plus I landed it with sling and three mags for less than the cost of a new one!

What would you guys recommend shooting out of it for some accuracy trials? Keeping in mind that I'm now more than broke! I can't afford to order two boxes of everything under the sun!

Just got mine 2 days ago. Something weird, i ordered a "classic green" and a received a "classic green/black special"...!? I mean, the receiver is green, but the forearm and the buttstock is black... I was a bit pis..ed, but the more i look at it the more i like it.

I have fired and handled the black/green/blue special. This rifle is anything but cheaply made. It is, in fact, made with modern manufacturing methods (stampings) and for this it does not suffer but gains.

It’s heavy, it’s expensive, it’s accurate, and reliable.

It’s a fine rifle and if I had an unlimited budget I would own one. They are beautiful.

One gentleman used to frequent the Shooting Edge with a blue special with a grenade launcher slung under the barrel – Previous to meeting him I had never felt like mugging anyone. - kidding

Alas I am relegated to the cheap but functional likes of the CZH 2003 ($410) and my Norinco CQ311 ($500).

If that was a sig gl they are as much $$ as the rifle I belive! With our 5rd mag law I can't see me ever buying one, even if I had the coin. I would consider it if we could have standard mags. I would consider an ar 15 though before the sig if they were unresticted(value for money).
