This isn't the prettiest thing in the world but it has a bit of history. A 1916 New Service in .455 Eley carried by a trooper in the Fort Garry Horse of the CEF during WW I. That regiment later became the Canadian 10th Armoured in WW II and had a distinguished record fighting through Northern Europe following D-Day.

The gun has Canadian broad arrows and military proof marks

An interesting specimen. What military markings are there? Can you provide pictures of?

Crossed pennants, broad arrow, and what appears to be an inspectors mark over "E" .... Enfield maybe? There is also a "R" stamped on the frame and on the butt....not sure about that one.

Very nice. I'm drawn to these older military models more and more. That condition looks just fine to me as it probably has a few interesting stories to tell. Hope you shoot it at least once or twice.

Thanks. I managed to find 4 boxes of Fiocchi .455 recently so it will go to the range at least once.
