Thanks to a fellow CGN'er, and when he said that this thing was "like new in box" he wasn't kidding, it's pristine! Feels very compact in comparison to my X-5, but SOLID and tight as a drum with a very nice heft for it's size. Trigger is light, but take up is maybe just a touch less smooth than the X-5 while break is just as clean and crisp. All origional boxing (carboard and plastic) and paperwork, including the 24 meter test target. Can't wait to shoot it this weekend!

Very nice addition to the X5. I love the 210s as well. Looks like that one has the Target grips which I very much prefer. Looking forward to the range report.

Thanks everyone - yes it is pristine now, but probably won't stay that way. It certainly won't be abused but I do intend to shoot it a fair bit, so it will show some signs of honest use as time goes by.

That is a really beautiful Sig, every time I have a good look at one in that condition the 'got to have one' thing kicks in. Thanks for that! I'm kinda bad that way. Congrats on it, that is a premium target gun you have. I look forward to seeing what you can do with it. TC

Thanks as well, but no doubts this pistols abilities are much better than mine LOL. But playing catch up is half the fun!

they shoot phenomenally well and feel great in the hand. The quality level of the manufacturing is awesome and seldom seen anymore. Be cautious of the small "hair pin" spring that retains the slide lock. If it pops out when your stripping it can fly. The military model had a retained spring, that really was a better (if more expensive) design. Also, if you invert it you can bend it when trying to put the slide lock back in. And sig canada isn't all that helpful if you want a new one....happily i was able to straighten the one in question for my friend.

When stripping/cleaning it I noticed that little bugger thinking you don't want to lose that LOL, thanks for the heads up!

Wow O.O Tought it was from a dealer had to reread your OP. The packaging was so well done and the thing looks spanking new. I forsee very tight groups in your future sir!

That's one really beautiful semiauto. The wood grips, in particular, and with Swiss engineering for the rest... Oh, I envy you! :)

Thanks - life's too short not to allow yourself a few pleasures now and then :)

Beautiful gun! I'm sure you will love it. I have a pristine military model 210 with the holster and the original officers name written on the inside of it. It also shoots like a dream, far tighter than anything I can do in my hands. Love it more than all my other 12 pistols.

Ok guys need a no shXt opinion. I've had X5's for years, I've tried an original P210,,,,,and was very excited to have it lent to me for a while. I just couldn't shoot it as good as my X5.

Is this just not enough time on a P210? or is there going to be any difference in practical accuracy between the two? The old P210's were tested at 50 meters. The test target shown for the current P210 is at 25 meters and larger than any of my X5 test targets.

Thoughts ?

I still love....want to love...the P210, especially the new German ones with the improved frames / beaver tails.
