I got my husqvarna 1600 in 6.5x55 bright and early this morning from trade ex. It was packaged very nicely. Was very well described overall. The only complaint I have, and it's not a serious one for me, is there's a nice ding on the right side of the stock which wasn't pictured, or described. Not a big deal for me, but i'm sure to somebody else it'd be a big deal. I'm planning on hunting with this rifle, it wont be the last ding it gets, and it gives character I think :).

It fits me well, and shoulders very well, points easy, which is a relief! I sometimes have a hard time finding a rifle that fits me well! I'm not use to a hinged floorplate, and it's going to take some getting use to. Action is fairly smooth, after a cleaning I hope it'll be better but no complaints if it doesn't. Trigger is the best i've laid hands onto. No creep, crisp let go, and a nice weight.

I went to a local gun store and bought a box of federal classic 140 grain HI-SHOK S/P and took the rifle to a nearby gravel pit. I took three 3shot groups at about 100-115yards with irons. Now, i'm fairly blind and could hardly see the 6x6" cardboard I spray painted a black X onto inside a tire at that distance, but still managed to get about 2.5" groups without a rest! I'm impressed to say the least. I guess I'm going to have to scope this rifle to see what it'll really do. I'm expecting with groups like that I could get under 1" with a scope and rest. Not bad for a new to me hunting rifle.

Update with link to pictures! http://s666.photobucket.com/albums/vv26/Lilbear2003/ I also cleaned the rifle and the action is a fair bit smoother then before, probably the smoothest action i've laid my hands onto.

Good info on Tradex. They have a great selection and their prices seem reasonable. Always been a little cautious about buying online so this alleviates that feeling a little bit.
Congrtas on the purchase!
Pics please.
