WOOO joined the black rifle club with the purchase of a XCR in 223 got a AVG on the way from Blaxsun. to anyone who owns one what are you running for optics? thinking of gettin the ACOG want to be from bushnell, but would some day like to get a real ACOG but yeah any advice about this rifle please let me know! will post pics when it's all done up ;) Cheers!

Used to have an ACOG a 3.5x35, switched to a Nightforce 2.5-10x24 in a larue mount. The ACOG now sits on a Tavor.

good to know about the bushnell... and thnaks for the replies... tie now between the burris ar332 and the strikefire humm decisions decisions... recommend any dealers for either of these two?

You might want to wait for the Vortex Viper PST which should be out by December or so.

Very nice. How muchy? Get a deal?

I hunt with my XCR-L so run hunting scopes...

223 upper = older Leupold Vari X 11 4-12X40mm LR reticle AO

6.8SPC upper = Leupold VX111 4.5-14X40mm 30mm tube side focus Varmint reticle

I am finding the Vari X 11 LR reticle not as fine/thin as I would like and would love to find another scope exactly like the one on the 6.8 to mount...

Was waiting to hear from you Camp Cook hahaha thanks but now i'm torn, i do like the range capabilities of a scope but like being able to keep both eyes open for plinking and such, guess i'm looking for too much and need to pick on or the other

Nothing saying you can't go both ways with the rail on the XCR and quick detachable rings you can remove the scope and install your red dot whatever in less than a minute.

I also have a 1X Burris with med Leupold PRW rings that I just zeroed for 50 yards with the 223 upper for my wife she is not interested in shooting any further at this time.
