New to reloading question.

I have been thinking i should get into reloading since i have nagant and 7.62x54r is sometimes hard to come by near home for me. I found these items for sale locally for 40 bucks. I know this is not all i will need but i have 2 questions.

Are these items worth 40 bucks? and what other stuff should i look for.


I plan on only loading 7.62x54r for a while and not in any great numbers, maybe 50 or so for a trip to the range.

What you have there is a press, powder thrower, hand primer and a set of shell holders (not sure what the one on the right is from the pic). I would say take them for 40 bucks. What do you have to loose? All you need now is a good loading manual, scale, dies, powder, primers, bullets and you are on your way (there is way more stuff but you will learn what you need when you get deeper into loading). Notice how I said loading manual first. This will give you a step by step and give you a place to start for powder and primers. Also search the reloading thread for more tips. And if you can't find it ask. There is no such thing as a stupid question and everyone has to start somewhere.
