to all the experts on this forum
your help will be greatly appreciated.

today i bought a stevens 200 in 223 and I already own a Tikka T3 in 270 wsm so it looks like if I want to offset the expense of ready made I'll need to get into reloading (especially the wsm)

so if you have any suggestions on equipment and mixtures.........

the one thing that I want to use in the wsm is the accubond bullet as for weight I'm undecided between 140 and 150 gr. (deer, moose and bear)

for the 223 I'm open to ideas and suggestions........

One major issue is I'm on a very strict LOW budget (sound corny but a reality)

I think you can get a Lee press for a very fair price. You can get a single stage press, or even a turret press, mine was around $200.00 tax included for the turret press. You will load a little faster with it, but if you are just testing loads for hunting, then you can get away with a single stage press. Go to Lee precision to see all they have. Many videos on that site as well. You can also get an RCBS single stage press if you do not like the Lee stuff. Many cheap options still available to us! Cheers!

i think the best starter kit is the lyman orange crusher expert kit. it costs a little over $400, but comes with everything you will be replaceing in a cheaper kit anyway.(trimmer, powder measure, scale)

the only thing you need to start loading is dies and components.

If you are on a low budget, I would go with the Lee Anniversary Kit. It has most of the stuff you need to get started for a little over a hundred bucks. It turns out accurate ammo just fine. I replaced the powder scale on mine with an RCBS one later as I found it hard to read. You can sell/replace any of the stuff you don't like about it as you go.

I asked the same questions a couple weeks ago and was told to look at the LEE anniversery kit, 140$ish from Higginson powders + 43$ish more for The Lee Deluxe Rifle Die set.

I have also been looking on ebay, most deals on there have turned out to be dissapointing, guys make up for low prices with rediculous shipping fee's.

***edit to add***
Didn't notice it was you Michel;)

I went w/ a Lee Kit and most of the reloading equipment is cheap junk. The scale is terrible and I didn't care for the powder dispencer either.
I do like the Lee Classic cast press its very sturdy and can handle anything thrown at it. I have since sold all my Lee reloading gear and gone w/ RCBS or Redding.
Whats the point in buying cheap only to upgrade later, save your money and buy quality the first time.

Cheers!!

thank you for the input, i should be going to Hawsberry soon and I'll lookup Higginson, I went there once to look at the stuff but was dissapointed they are more into mail order than a retail location but they were very friendly

another vote for the Lee aniversary kit for around a hundred bucks especially if you are on a budget. This is what i did and taught myself with the included manual a couple of years ago. Best to get a dial or digital caliper to measure stuff as well and your good to go...

another option:D ..why not post in the events and gatherings..looking for a reloading party..

looking for people to learn the art or for people to teach the art;)
