New to reloading

Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to reloading, I have 2 questions,
Can I use magnum primers (Federal, no. 215) for my semi auto 30-06, my powder is IMR 4831, with 180gr bullets

Also, I have a 30-338 win mag wildcat (resize the neck of 338 win mag), does any body have any good reload data they want to share about the same powder listed above, with 180 grain bullets, (and maybe 200grain)

Answer to your first question is yes, you can use magnum primers if you wish.
Many on here prefer magnum primers with H4831 and especially with large cases, like your 30-338. My experience is that I can't tell the slightest bit of difference, whether it is a so-called magnum primer or a standard.
I say so-called magnum primer, because I saw the results of a test that showed that RWS standard primers had more and longer lasting fire power, than did any of the magnum primers tested.

G-Force; I owned a 30-338 for a number of years.
Shot quite a few Elk and 4 moose with it.
It is very close to the 308 Norma Mag & the 300 Win Mag, power-wise.
If you are using IMR 4831 and the 200 grain bullet,
You should start at 68.0 grains and work up carefully.
The max will be around 71 grains.
With the 180, the max is right around 73 grains.
I always made my brass from 7mm Rem Mag.
