New to rifle reloading - case trimming

I use a Lyman universal trimmer for 308, which I don't shoot a lot of. It's alright if you're doing less than ~150 cases.

For 223, which I load in much greater volume, I use a Dillon RT1200 trimmer on my press and trim on the same toolhead as sizing and de-priming. If you've got a progressive press and do all of your case prep separately before loading, trimming takes no extra time with the RT1200. I trim all my 223 brass on every load, just because it's extra work to not trim.

The RT1200 and trim die cost way more than the Lyman unit.

Thanks for the plethora of replies.

I ended buying a lightly used Lyman Universal Power trimmer and with pilots in hand from my recent stop at Elwood Epps, I'm ready to have a go at my .223 brass collection.
