I have shot a lot of handguns, black powder rifles and have a lever 30-30 rifle so I am not new to shooting. After thinking about it for quite some time I decided to buy a bolt action.22LR rifle ( CZ 452 Lux ) it has good sights that I intend to use for the time being but I am thinking of adding some optics.
I was for a number of years into photography in a serious way and recognize some of the names on the scopes that I have looked at, as with camera lenses the prices are all over the place ($40.00 to $4000.00+).
My plan is to start a 25 meters and see what type of groups I can get using the sights that are on the rifle and only my ageing eyes....aided by prescription lenses then some time in the New Year add a scope.
My question to experienced .22LR scope users is what would be a good combination of quality and price for this rifle if I wanted to go out to 100 Meters?
Also I am curious about a mounting system that would allow removal of the scope in order to use the iron sights then putting the scope back on and not have to sight it in again....any such animal???
Thanks in advance for all your useful information.

I don't really know what sort of scope to recommend, sorry.

As for rings though:

The 452 Lux uses the less common 11mm dovetail, I believe, which is different than most other rimfires, so there's less ring selection.

Nevertheless you can special order a few different Quick Detach rings that work with it.
Another alternative: you can buy a rail adapter, and get standard picatinny QD rings from your local gunshop.

There are also such a thing as "see-through" rings, where you can see the irons under the scope, but I don't know if they work well, or if you will be able to find ones that fit the 11mm.

I have the same problem, iron sights aren't for me either, i see the front sight clearly or i see the target never both depending on the glasses i wear
but what i want is to be able to see clearly the holes a .22 bullet makes at 50 and 100 yards in the target.

For all of my field shooting my 22's mostly have the 2-7 Leupold rimfire scopes. I do have a rifle with a nice 3-9 Weaver, and the even nicer Leupold 3-9 EFR scope. Nikon have a fairly new dedicated 3-9 rimfire scope that is very good quality for the money. For me I like the fine cross hairs in the Leupold rimfire scopes. FS

Six Years ago I had a Remington 504 22lr heavy barreled rifle. The scope I used was a Leupold VXII 6x-18x with adjustable objective.
I liked the optics very much. In the past I have also had Two other Leupolds. IMOHO you can't go wrong with them. They have an amazing warranty.
The reason I no longer have this setup Is a financial one.

Leupolds warranty is no more " amazing" than anyone else's. FS

I had a Nikon rim fire scope in my hands the other day.
Pretty amazing clear optics on it.
Price would set it over $200 with taxes in.
The only thing I could find wrong with it was the weight.
Heavy for a rim fire scope.

Thanks for the response everyone...went to the Kickass sale at Reliable yesterday and got a good deal on a Leupold VX-2 3-9X33...had to remove the blade from the rear sight to mount the scope.
Just heading to the range to sight it in...should be a good day at the range.

Had a great day at the range got a stall right away probably due to the cold weather sun shine and no wind.
Sighted in the new scope at 3X magnification at 25 meters from sandbags....the target in the picture was the third of the day and so far I am really liking this scope.
At the end of the session I picked off some leftover clays out at 50 and 100 yards using 9X and some hold over.
