Our club is now allowing the use of .22 cal rifles. Like a diamond in the rough, Ruger 10/22 points to a solid interest in building a custom rifle. Just few points to clarify. R 10/22 is a non-restricted firearm. Lately, the Archangel Marauder kit is sweeping the forum like a virus. Is there a need to change the registration records since the look of the firearm is now different? OAL is not altered, so as barrel length. But looking into the new rifle does not directly identify the original R 10/22 as registered. Base gun as planned will be the basic R 10/22. Obviously and/or hopefully, this Archangel Marauder kit has been inspected and approved by RCMP. Otherwise, this can be a last minute recall issue as seen in the last few weeks regarding the AK 47 BB rifle that has been initially approved in Canada and last minute revoked upon noticing that some of the original AK parts in the receiver was used. I am not planning to change the barrel or even planning to shorten the length. Even magazines will be the stock 10 rouder plus commercial butler creek 25 rounder and the supplied Marauder. Any comment?
