This afternoon I spent some time at the range with my SBH, moving cast 180 grain bullets downrange.

This revolver really likes to shoot these bullets. I had loaded .44 magnum cases with 6.4 grains of Unique, and two other loads each a bit heavier. The bullets are the Hornady swaged cowboy bullets. The lightest load got me the tightest groups, 1 1/4" groups of 6 at 15 yards.

I just wish I'd tried cast bullets earlier! It's a good thing it's mostly too cold for shooting these days.....I've got some reloading to do.

Anybody try Win 231 with these bullets?
