new to shotgunning

ok so i just bought a stevens 12 guage pump and seeing as how this is my first shotgun never even held one aside from the firearms course im just wondering is there anything other then proper ammo selection i should know and also is there anyone living near leamington ontario (30-40 minuits max) that would want to get together to do some shooting? i want to go duck and rabbit hunting this fall but want to get some clay pidgion or skeet in first. any help is greatly appretiated

congrats on your purchase....shotguns are like rabbits.....soon your stevens will have babies and you will have so many you wont know which one to take out.

sorry but I am not geographically viable to go shooting with you....but good luck

If there is a trap/skeet range around your area, just walk in and tell them you're new to shotgunning and need some help learning the ropes. I'm certain somebody will take you out for a lesson. We're a friendly, helpful bunch.
