I saw that on my page this morning.

Norinco prices? Well why not.

P.S. Not sure if there is a thread on them already. If yes my bad.

So factory from the Philippines makes it for them (SAM, ARMSCOR, etc.)? Looks like the same concept that Dominion Arms is using (re-branded Norinco)

Yep. I expect the factory would make an Aprilia 1911 if you ordered enough of them.;)

The thing to remember is just because it comes from the same factory doesn't mean it's necessarily the same. A lot depends on how the order is spec'd and at what price point the buyer wants the guns to come in at.

Nice, and I'd consider a stainless in 9mm, but as a new entrant with no track record, they really need to offer a blow-out short term introductory pricing extravaganza. Marketers will agree that getting a buzz going in the marketplace will pay dividends as long as the quality & reliability is there to make the initial purchasers eager to proudly express their delight.

SAM and Armscor are not made in the same factory. Neither are Metro Arms. They are 3 separate companies. That stainless seraphim armoury looks exactly like my SAM Thunderbolt.

They are just rebranded SAM's. Look at the stainless, it looks exactly like my SAM Thunderbolt. You be the judge...

You gents seem to know what is up with these... How reliable are they? I mean, you get what you pay for, but would it be a good buy for such cheap prices? or better to spend the money on something else?

You are correct. What I meant to infer was that the Philippine arms makers (Armscor,SAM etc) also make "brands" to order for various importers and distributers. This from Armscor's Wiki entry

Armscor traces its roots to a Manila sporting and dry goods retail store, Squires Bingham & Co., that was founded in 1911. Squires Bingham was bought by the Tuason family in 1941 and began making firearms though the present corporation in 1952. Armscor manufactures its own line of firearms and holds manufacturing contracts for other companies' firearm lines, such as Twin Pines' Rock Island Armory (RIA) pistols. In addition to the Rock Island Armory 1911 series pistols, Armscor is the source of pistols for STI's Spartan, Cimarron Firearms pre-1923 Model 1911,[1] Charles Daly and Auto Ordnance 1911 style pistols. Armscor is an ISO 9001 certified compliant company which manufactures weapons using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment.

The company is headquartered in Marikina, Philippines and represented in the USA by its subsidiary Armscor Precision International (API), located in Pahrump, Nevada with facilities in Stevensville, Montana.[2]

Interesting. I hope they end up being good quality as I am considering a 1911 purchase and was leaning toward the SR1911 but I would love to support a Canadian endeavour.

They appear to be the same SAM (Shooters Arms Manufacturing) pistols from the Phillipines, as sold by CGN sponsor Wolverine Supplies. Reportedly a good product based on feedback from CGN'rs.

Seraphim Armoury website states...
"We are a low cost, but high quality manufacturer of 1911 pistols! We are excitedly waiting for our first batch to be ready for sale in the next few days."

Are they implying they manufacture these 1911's....or am I reading into that incorrectly?

Literally the exact same SAM pistols Wolverine supplies has been selling for a couple years....
I wonder if Wolverine is dropping the SAM line?

I love my SAM's. Have had no problems whatsoever with the 9mm's or .45. They eat everything, no feeding issues at all. Run strictly handloads. Tried a couple different recipes, depending on powder supply, and they run it all just fine. I would not hesitate to buy another one, just as soon as they bring out a two tone. Lol.

I'm buying their commander version in 9mm when they order a new batch

Why?

Because I prefer GI sights to Novak. All I need do is fit a rat tail on it and it's a virtual colt clone.
